Many of the motions involved in making art, such as holding a paintbrush or scribbling with a crayon, are essential to the growth of fine motor skills in young children. Art can help children and young people to work through feelings and emotions and develops creativity. Some of the art we complete is set around a theme or celebration, other art and craft sessions are freely chosen by our children.
